Previously, the acronym was used to remember which packages to install, but now we can install them all in one step.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open Terminal (A) and type the command to install &#8220;Task Select&#8221; (B). It will prompt for a password. Use the password created when installing the LAMP web server.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">mysql -u root -p<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Create the database pydio.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">create database pydio;<\/pre>\n<p>NOTE: For increased security, choose a database name that is not the same as the default, pydio.<\/li>\n<li>Exit mySQL\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">exit<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>NOTE: For even more security, create a user within MySQL that only has permissions for the database for Pydio.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Install_Pydio\">Install Pydio<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>In Terminal, edit the program sources fie using the following command.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo nano \/etc\/sources.list<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Using the arrow keys to navigate the the bottom and then copy and paste the following two lines into the file.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">deb http:\/\/dl.ajaxplorer.info\/repos\/apt stable main\r\ndeb-src http:\/\/dl.ajaxplorer.info\/repos\/apt stable main<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/6-sourcesList2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2109\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/6-sourcesList2.jpg\" alt=\"6-sourcesList2\" width=\"737\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/6-sourcesList2.jpg 737w, https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/6-sourcesList2-300x187.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 737px) 100vw, 737px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Use Ctrl+O to save and Ctrl+X to exit the text editor.<\/li>\n<li>Add the public access key.wget -O &#8211; http:\/\/dl.ajaxplorer.info\/repos\/charles@ajaxplorer.info.gpg.key | sudo apt-key add &#8211;<\/li>\n<li>Update the program sources database\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo apt-get update<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Install Pydio. You will need to confirm the packages that will be installed.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo apt-get install pydio<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Copy the configuration file to the web server.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo cp \/usr\/share\/doc\/pydio\/apache2.sample.conf \/etc\/apache2\/sites-available\/pydio.conf<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Activate the site.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo a2ensite pydio<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Restart the web server.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo service apache2 restart<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span id=\"Setup_Pydio\">Setup Pydio<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>In a web browser, navigate to your computers web address or IP address. Append &#8220;\/pydio&#8221; as a fragment to the web address (i.e. technerdservices.ddns.net\/pydio).<\/li>\n<li>The diagnostics tool should show two warnings. If it shows more (such as PHP Output Buffering Disabled), ensure that all previous steps have been completed. Create the administrator account. Most fields can remain the defaults. For the host and database fields, use the default (unless you created a database with a different name). Type in the user &#8220;root&#8221; and the password created when creating the LAMP server. (This step can also be done within the Pydio settings later).
