Previously, the acronym was used to remember which packages to install, but now we can install them all in one step.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open Terminal (A) and type the command to install &#8220;Task Select&#8221; (B). In terminal, enter the following command to install these extensions:\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">php5-fpm php5-cli php5-mysql php5-mcrypt php5-tidy php5-curl php5-sqlite php5-gd<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Restart the web server\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo service apache2 restart<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>asdf<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span id=\"Download_Files_to_Web_Server\">Download Files to Web Server<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>In terminal, download the Wallabag zip folder to the home directory.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">wget http:\/\/wllbg.org\/latest<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Unzip the folder. It will extract into a folder with the version number.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">unzip latest<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the Nautilus file manager, rename the folder to &#8220;wallabag&#8221;.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/02-rename.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2264\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/02-rename.jpg\" alt=\"02-rename\" width=\"325\" height=\"328\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/02-rename.jpg 325w, https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/02-rename-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/02-rename-297x300.jpg 297w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 325px) 100vw, 325px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Move the wallabag folder to the web server.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo mv wallabag \/var\/www\/html\/<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span id=\"Download_Twig_framework_files_to_the_Web_Server\">Download Twig framework files to the Web Server<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Twig is a template library that Wallabag requires to function.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the compressed vendor file.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">wget http:\/\/static.wallabag.org\/files\/vendor.zip<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Extract the vendor folder.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">unzip vendor.zip<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Move the vendor folder into the &#8220;wallabag&#8221; folder on the web server.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo mv vendor \/var\/www\/html\/wallabag<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span id=\"Set_Permissions\">Set Permissions<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Using the following command, change the permissions of the wallabag folder so that the web server has access to the files:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">sudo chown -R www-data:www-data \/var\/www\/html\/wallabag<\/pre>\n<h2><span id=\"Create_MySQL_Database_Tables_and_Users\">Create MySQL Database Tables and Users<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>In Terminal, access the MySQL shell.\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">mysql -u root -p<\/pre>\n<p>NOTE: Enter the password that was created during the Installing a LAMP web server section.<\/li>\n<li>Create the database &#8220;wallabag&#8221;\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">CREATE DATABASE wallabag;<\/pre>\n<p>NOTE: For additional security, consider using a different name that &#8220;wallabag.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Create the user &#8220;wallabag&#8221; and give it permissions for the &#8220;wallabag&#8221; table and a password.<br \/>\nNOTE: For added security, change the password &#8220;YOUR_PASSWORD&#8221; to something else.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"null\">GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON `wallabag`.* TO 'wallabag'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'YOUR_PASSWORD';<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Exit MySQL.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span id=\"Complete_Wallabag_Installation_in_a_Web_Browser\">Complete Wallabag Installation in a Web Browser<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>In a web browser, navigate to the server&#8217;s public web address and add the &#8220;\/wallabag&#8221; fragment on the end of the web address (i.e. http:\/\/technerdservices.ddns.net\/wallabag). If all the previous examples are completed correctly, both the &#8220;Server Compatibility Test&#8221; and the &#8220;TWIG Installation&#8221; should appear as bellow:<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/08-serverTest.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2270\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/08-serverTest-1024x266.jpg\" alt=\"08-serverTest\" width=\"1024\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/08-serverTest-1024x266.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/08-serverTest-300x78.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.technerdservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/08-serverTest.jpg 1183w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a>NOTE: If there are errors, go back and ensure that the TWIG installation is properly moved and that the PHP extensions were installed. Also, try restarting the web server.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to the &#8220;Database Settings&#8221; and select &#8220;MySQL.&#8221; Then fill in the fields. The email address is optional.
